To see your Google Paid Search ("PPC") ads use the Google Ad Preview Tool.
Here is why you want to use the tool instead of just searching for your ads on Google.com:
Removes IP Addresses:
Sometimes an IP address can be located in a completely different zip code, city, or state than you are currently in. Google provides results based on the IP address of your computer. The Google Ad Preview Tool allows you to select your location based on a country, city, region, or postal code to make sure you are seeing the correct results for the locations that your campaigns are targeting.
Repeated Searches For Your Keywords:
Google’s algorithm is built as such that it will intentionally hide PPC ads from users who’ve searched the same terms repeatedly. For one, it assumes that the ad is not relevant to the search query. More importantly, it does this as part of its security measures against click spamming (the practice of clicking on competitor’s ads to drive up cost). The Google Ad Preview Tool eliminates this problem.
Accidental Clicks:
Clicking on an ad on Google.com cost money for the advertiser. In the Google Ad Preview Tool, you can't actually click on the ads.
Impressions:
Every time your ad shows up on Google.com, that equates to one impression. Google's Ad Preview Tool allows you to see the ads but not rack up impressions for your ads. If you are searching on Google.com and seeing your ads, your performance will be negatively affected for your campaigns.
Device Filters:
The Ad Preview Tool allows you to change the device to see how your ads are displayed on Mobile, Desktop/Laptop, or Tablet. Most campaigns have bid adjustments for the different devices depending on which devices perform better than others for your campaigns. Example: You may find your ads more often on Mobile devices as opposed to Laptops or vice versa.
